I write big, fun, action-adventure films and tiny, quirky, sci-fi indie films—both with an extra large dollop of humor and heart.

ABOUT

Hudson Phillips grew up in a small town in south Georgia (complete with thick southern accent) until his pharmacist father uprooted their family to serve the sick in Haiti. After his father passed away, Hudson returned to Atlanta (thankfully growing out of the accent) and fell in love with writing and all things genre as a way to cope with his loss.

His first feature as a writer and producer, the post-apocalyptic film THIS WORLD ALONE was released on Hulu. It won “best feature” at six film festivals “best screenplay” at two, and received a positive review in The New York Times. His second produced feature, the grounded sci-fi romance GUACAMOLE YESTERDAYS is now in post-production.

Hudson’s accolades include Top 50 Action Scripts on Coverfly, Semifinalist in Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest, and Semifinalist in ScreenCraft Action & Adventure Screenplay Competition. Additionally, his pulp sci-fi short story, SPILT MILK, was published in Infinite Worlds magazine.

Hudson lives in Atlanta with his wife, son, and rescue hound dog.
